Mouse spleen, malaria-responding, KO genotype, 10x Visium (paper 5.4)

A fresh-frozen (OCT) mouse spleen section from the knockout (KO) arm of the SpatialBenchVisium benchmark (Du 2025), profiled as a 10x Visium spatial library, SRA run SRR27792935. We use it with its control counterpart (PA-S-5-4-spleen-malaria-ctrl, SRR27792947) as a two-condition QC contrast on the same protocol and platform, and as the first non-brain spatial tissue in the validation corpus. The pipeline runs this sample in intake_qc mode: fastp read QC plus a unique R1 spot-barcode profile, no clustering and no Space Ranger. The genotype label "KO" is recorded from the GEO sample metadata; the specific knocked-out gene is not stated there and is pending curator verification.
