The dexamethasone-treated sample of the Himes 2014 study, primary human airway smooth muscle cells from donor cell line N080611, paired-end Illumina reads against GRCh38. Paired with SRR1039508 (the untreated counterpart from the same cell line) as the two-sample Phalaena validation slice. We use this sample as the treated half of the bulk pipeline's well-behaved paired-end verification case: it maps cleanly at the rate pinned in MANIFEST.json (93.80 percent), 0.27 percentage points below its untreated pair, and runs to completion within the fixed wall budget.
