The second pasilla-knockdown replicate from the Brooks 2011 study, Drosophila melanogaster S2-DRSC cells with pasilla depleted by RNAi, paired-end 45 bp Illumina Genome Analyzer II reads. Together with SRR031714 it forms the knockdown arm of the Phalaena four-sample slice; the untreated controls (SRR031708, SRR031709) are single-end. We use this sample in the bulk pipeline's mixed-layout verification (PE and SE rows in one submission). The 45 bp read length degrades Salmon mapping against the default k=31 index (validation finding #16); the pipeline runs to completion regardless.
