One pasilla-knockdown replicate from the Brooks 2011 study, Drosophila melanogaster S2-DRSC cells with the splicing factor pasilla depleted by RNAi, paired-end 45 bp Illumina Genome Analyzer II reads. Paired with SRR031716 as the two knockdown samples in the Phalaena four-sample slice; the untreated controls (SRR031708, SRR031709) are single-end. This sample's paired-end layout is the load-bearing half of the bulk pipeline's mixed-layout verification (PE and SE rows coexisting in one run). The 45 bp read length degrades Salmon mapping against the default k=31 index (validation finding #16); the pipeline runs to completion regardless.
