SRR031709, Drosophila S2 untreated control, single-end (paper 3.1)

A second run of the same untreated library as SRR031708 (GSM461176, S2_DRSC_Untreated-1) from the Brooks 2011 pasilla knockdown study, Drosophila melanogaster S2-DRSC cells, single-end 45 bp Illumina Genome Analyzer II reads. The Phalaena four-run slice holds no knockdown sample: SRR031714 and SRR031716 are untreated libraries too (ENA run report, 2026-10-22). We use this sample in the bulk RNA-seq pipeline's mixed-layout check (single-end and paired-end rows in one submission). The Wave 2 run quantified it against the default human transcript index, not the BDGP6 reference (see the run record).
