One untreated control library (GSM461176, S2_DRSC_Untreated-1) from the Brooks 2011 pasilla knockdown study, Drosophila melanogaster S2-DRSC cells, single-end 45 bp Illumina Genome Analyzer II reads. SRR031709 is a second run of the same library, and SRR031714 and SRR031716, the paired-end half of the Phalaena four-run slice, are untreated libraries too, so the slice holds no knockdown sample (ENA run report, 2026-10-22). We use this sample in the bulk RNA-seq pipeline's mixed-layout check: single-end and paired-end rows coexist in one submission. The Wave 2 run quantified it against the default human transcript index, not the BDGP6 reference (see the run record).
