One untreated control replicate from the Brooks 2011 pasilla knockdown study, Drosophila melanogaster S2-DRSC cells, single-end 45 bp Illumina Genome Analyzer II reads. Paired with SRR031709 as the two untreated controls in the Phalaena four-sample slice (the two knockdown samples, SRR031714 and SRR031716, are paired-end). We use this sample as part of the bulk RNA-seq pipeline's mixed-layout verification: single-end and paired-end rows coexist in one submission. The 45 bp read length degrades Salmon mapping against the default k=31 index (validation finding #16); the pipeline runs to completion regardless.
