DGRP-802 Drosophila inbred line, Illumina GAII paired-end (paper 1.5)
phalaena:sample:PA-S-1-5-DGRP-802
DGRP-802 (a Drosophila melanogaster Genetic Reference Panel inbred line), one Illumina Genome Analyzer II paired-end whole-genome run. 94.3 million paired reads before fastp (47,128,319 spots on the SRA run SRR835343), aligned to the Ensembl BDGP6 fly assembly. The DGRP lines were established from a single Raleigh, North Carolina population and made nearly homozygous by 20 generations of full-sibling inbreeding. We use this sample as the first non-human, first invertebrate verification input for the genomics short-read pipeline: it exercises the flow against a non-vertebrate reference assembly and provides an inbred-genome contrast case, where the variant profile is expected to skew strongly homozygous relative to an outbred diploid human sample.
